Early this afternoon I walked down to the central square, known as the Jardin here in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, to join the throngs to see the dramatic, creative, handcrafted altars being created there in honor of Day of the Dead. This artwork, laid out on the stone streets surrounding the Jardin, is transitory — like life itself. It is here now, but by the end of the day tomorrow, which is the official Day of the Dead, it will be a memory.
Come see a little of what I saw today because we know it will be gone tomorrow.

Yes, Tina, judging from the crowds yesterday in the Jardin, a whole lot of people had decided that this is a wonderful time to be here! 🙂 And, yes, Mexicans have managed to put a fun and colorful spin on the concept of death. How refreshing!
Wonderful!
Our minds were connected. I sent you an email just before checking my mails. MLxx
